A breath of fresh air

“Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat”

As much as I love London, sometimes it is nice to get out of the city and away to somewhere new. And last weekend we did just that and hopped a train out of London to spend the weekend in Bristol with the lovely Bex and James.

Sometimes there is nothing that can clear the mind more than spending time with friends and some fresh air. And we got both on this weekend. Long walks across the Clifton Downs with fresh air and cold winds to blow away work stresses and a long lunch with some drinks to chill out while we warmed up again. We had a lovely weekend and came back to London feeling tired (with a slight headache after some margaritas) but refreshed and (almost) ready to head back to work! I sometimes forget how much I love the countryside and I definitely didn’t appreciate it enough when I lived in Ireland and the countryside was outside my front door.

Any recommendations for any places near London for me to explore when I need to get out of the city?
