I had a visitor to London one weekend in the form of my lovely friend Nell. We studied the same subject at university, became travelling buddies and lived together for two years before I made the leap the moved to London. It has been strange not seeing her almost every day so I was very excited to have her down!
She arrived on Thursday evening and we had prosecco to celebrate her arrival and caught up before heading to bed. On Friday we grabbed a coffee and a croissant and got the tube to Kensington where we had tickets to see the Wedding Dress Exhibition at the V&A, which was well worth a visit. It details the history and evolution of wedding dresses and has stuff from the 17th century right through to Kate Moss’s wedding dress. I managed to take a few snaps before I was told off for taking photos- rebel (despite there being no signs)! It runs until 15th March and is worth booking a ticket as it got quite busy!
It was my first time at the V&A so we wandered a little around the museum which is huge! When our feet got sore we had a few photos outside the building and we wandered a little around the museum (which is huge) and
We grabbed some lunch at Pho in Soho, a great Vietnamese place which isn’t terribly authentic but very tasty! We then hit Oxford Street for some shopping where I did the usual pay day splurge and bought things I totally didn’t need but liked the look of…
Then just a quick wander around Libertys to ogle at some make up and scarves I definitely couldn’t afford!
More of our weekend to follow!
