Notting Hill

This Saturday was a sunny, hot day in London and me and E decided we should go and see a new area, which we haven’t had time to do in a while. We jumped on the tube and headed west, suffocating on the central line until at last we arrived at Notting Hill gate. It was E’s first visit so I had fun showing him around, even if he was feeling a little camera shy!

We dreamed about what house we would one day buy….maybe matching his and hers houses?!

We had delicious coffee in a packed little cafe, sitting outside watching the world go by, basking in the sun…

We wandered around Portobello market, admiring trinkets and picking out art we will buy when we finally get our own place. Watch this space for the one we finally chose! We bought chicken ciabatta and gelato and enjoyed the bustling atmosphere that Portobello market provides. It is so busy and full of tourists so definitely not a place to be in a rush!

After we had an impromptu visit to Hampstead Heath for a quick walk where we explored a new part and found acres of deserted park, with mounds of purple heather and utter silence, unexpected haven in the middle of the city!
